Winter Break Ideas for the Family

So, I was super excited about starting up my blog. Got everything going and started sharing. Then, I got a case of "cold feet"! Still trying to figure out how this all works. In fact, it can be quite overwhelming. Today I have decided that I need to suck it up and just BLOG!

This has been a busy week for us. We're gearing up for our winter break. We get two weeks off from school, and I'm beginning to think two weeks is too long! My kids get bored being stuck at home without a regular routine. I'm going be making a daily planner packed full of stuff for us to do. Here's some of the things that I have planned for the next couple weeks.

Thursday nights at Riverfront Park's  Ice Palace is $1 skate from 7pm-8:30pm. Remember to bring helmets for the little ones (or people like me that can't ice skate!).

December 19th-30th is open skate from 1:00-5:00 at Pattison's North , and they also have a BYGO on Wednesday the 21st and the 28th. They have a great calendar full of events over break! Events Calendar

Mobius Kids is a great place to explore indoors! Admission is reasonable at $5.75 with kids 12 months and under free.

The Garland Theater has $1 movies on Wednesdays! And they're doing "Totally Tubular Tuesdays", where every Tuesday at 7 o'clock they will be showing an old favorite for just one dollar. You can vote on their website for which favorites you'd like to see!

There is also  FREE horse drawn carriage rides downtown  11/25-12/24. Fridays, 3-8:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, 12-5:00 p.m.  Christmas Eve 12-3:00 p.m. Pick-up on Wall Street at Main Avenue. No reservations necessary. First come first serve basis. Sponsored by STCU.
